Hearth
The album arises from the idea of fire as a symbolic core of togetherness and cultural transmission — a space where memory and affection are kept alive through the act of sharing. In this sense, the project transcends the simple theme of Christmas to become a reflection on belonging, intimacy, and the many diverse ways humanity celebrates light in the midst of darkness.
The Miró Quartet's first holiday album presents original arrangements from 15 amazing composers, all embodying their favorite holiday tunes in their own original way. Composers included are Clarice Assad, Kevin Puts, Michi Wiancko, Reena Esmail, Karl Mitze, Sam Lipman, Alex Berko, Anna Clyne, Jeff Scott, Gabriel Kahane, Michael Begay, Paola Prestini, Derrick Skye, Joel Love and Hyung-ki Joo.
